How to make car expenses payment on CardUp?
1. Sign up or log in
a. Create a free CardUp personal account.
2. Create a Payment
a. Click “+Create Payment” button at the top right corner of the site.
3. Choose Payment type
a. Select the car expenses category
i. For car loans, click the "Car Loan" category.
ii. For car down payments, select the "Miscellaneous"as payment category, then choose “Car Down Payment" as the purpose of payment.
iii. For other car-related expenses, select the "Miscellaneous" as payment category and "Others" as the purpose of payment.
4. Select or add recipient
a. Search for your recipient in the directory. If they’re not listed, click "Add new recipient" and fill in the required details.
5. Enter payment details
a. Fill in the amount and upload any required supporting documents, such as:
i. Car loan: loan agreement or loan disbursement letter, latest bank statement showing loan repayment details, and GIRO approval letter.
ii. Car down payment*: hire purchase agreement (including fee breakdown), recipient bank account details, and proof that your card has been pre-funded for the down-payment amount.
iii. Other car-related expenses: refer to the payment page for the required documents.
*Car down payments cannot be paid with credit. Please make sure your card has been pre-funded for the exact amount of the car down payment.
6. Review and confirm
a. Double-check all details, then click "Confirm Payment Setup" to finalize your payment.
