Why does CardUp charge a fee?
The CardUp fee covers the processing costs to the card-issuing banks and network providers for each transaction made. The fee also ensures our platform remains secure for your everyday use.
A standard 2.6% CardUp fee applies for, payments using domestic credit cards. However, applicable promo codes can be applied for lowered fees.
What is the fee for using international cards?
For Visa/Mastercard/American Express/UnionPay credit cards issued outside Singapore:
- A 3.3% fee applies on each transaction
- Promotional codes are not eligible for use on payments made with credit cards issued outside of Singapore.
- For payments of $1,000 or less, a minimum CardUp fee of $33 applies
Can the rewards earned on my card outweigh the CardUp fee?
Yes! By earning miles, points on cashback on these payments you're currently already making via cash, cheque or bank transfer, you'll now be able to maximise your rewards earned. Will I earn rewards on my credit card for payments made through CardUp?
All spend made using a Singapore-issued card on your CardUp-registered account are eligible for the base earn rate* of miles (up to 1.6 miles per dollar), points or cashback (up to 5% cashback) on most credit cards, including for payments such as insurance premiums and taxes.
